By far our most popular option for people looking for a quick and easy way to increase engine power, the RaceChip RS comes to you pre-loaded with the correct maps, specific the Kia Cerato BD. The standard RaceChip has a rotary control on the front of the unit in order for one of the 6 internal maps to be selected to fit the engine's performance and characteristics.

The RaceChip RS increases the torque available at any given engine speed. Therefore, a higher gear can usually be selected, meaning less gear-changing is necessary in general, and fuel is used more efficiently. As a result, fuel consumption can be cut by up to 15%.

Additionally, there is an app control option available for the RaceChip RS, allowing you to use your smartphone to choose between 3 tuning modes from the RaceChip app; Efficiency for saving fuel in urban traffic, Sport for improved mid-range flexibility on open roads, Race for maximum performance. The RaceChip RS can also be deactivated via the app.

Note: you must run your car on 98 RON fuel to use this chip

All orders are packaged at our Hornsby workshop. In general, handling times are between 24-48 hours.

We primarily send orders via Australia Post. For heavier/bulkier items that cannot be sent with Australia Post, we use a courier service.

Typically shipping ETAs can be anywhere from 2-5 days from the date of shipping.  The timings are dependant on where you live and the current COVID impacts.

Cherry Tuning and Performance does not generally offer refunds, with the exception of faulty or not fit-for-purpose products. All other returns will be subject to a 15% cancellation fee. If your item has not yet shipped and you have changed your mind, you will still be liable for a 10% cancellation fee to cover website fees, charges, and the time taken to process your refund. This fee can be reduced or waived at the discretion of Cherry Tuning management.

For a returned product to be eligible for a refund, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, new/unused, and in its original packaging

I have now had the Racechip RS in for about 2 weeks and it's been a revelation for the Cerato GT. It just keeps delivering on performance and fuel economy. I popped it into the car myself and believe me, I'm no mechanic, had to take out the air filter box, but if you have a socket set it's easy. Took about 30 minutes tops. The car just performs better all round, notably, I used to get a rotten egg smell everytime I gave it a boot full. Since I installed the chip, this has not happened once, even after a race up and doun Mt Glorious (look it up, non Brisbaneites) . Finally, I would recommend that you get the Bluetooth version, the app is so easy to use and even provides a warm up countdown.

Well worth the money

Fitted a race chip none bluetooth type to my GT Cerato, very very happy with it as it certainly livens up the little 1.6 ltr turbo engine, more than I thought it would and the car still drive exactly the same just way more torque and power, Good stuff Tristian.

Works perfect, easy to install and remove for service.
Boost is much more aggressive and using with upgraded HKS Plugs / MSD coils the power is applied much earlier and evenly throughout the rev ranges.
Note also running.
aFe Takeda Stage-2 Air Intake - Huge volume of air whistle on acceleration.
GFB Respons Adjustable Blow-Off Valve - Getting a slight Turbo flutter now after venting just enough to turn heads.
Xforce Varex Cat back Exhaust - Pops and crackles with some revs and some big low db DSG burps on gear changes when winding out the gears.
Highly recommend 👌.
