Hyundai Genuine Alloy Control ArmPerformance Package

The factory front lower control arms are stamped out of steel and are quite heavy and have a small amount of flex. There have been a few suppliers recently offering a control arm "insert" - claiming that this can drastically reduce the amount of flex in these arms and giving the car a more direct feel.

The issue with this approach is two-fold; firstly you're adding more unsprung weight to the vehicle, and on the front axle where you really could stand to lose the majority of your weight, and secondly bolting in another piece of sheet metal isn't likely to "drastically transform" your car as much as is claimed.

If you're looking to get the best factory option replacement for your car, then you're in luck! Fortunately for all of us, Hyundai supplied a factory alloy control arm on some of their vehicles! Alloy arms are lighter and more rigid than stamped steel, removing as much flex from the control arms as possible and reducing unsprung weight in the process.

This package consists of a pair of replacement alloy control arms and optionally will come supplied with replacement/upgraded bushes for the front and rear. These bushes will give you more caster and additional control over the camber setting in your car - especially important in the i30N hatch, which has no factory camber adjustment at all!
