Product details
For the 1.6 turbo Veloster (SR Turbo) only - it does not fit the naturally aspirated car. An axle-back replaces the rear muffler section only - the factory mid-pipe, cats and hangers all stay put, so it is a bolt-on with no cutting and no tune.
2-1/2in 304 stainless throughout, mandrel-bent, with a straight-through perforated-core muffler. Expect a real change in tone: deeper at idle, hard and metallic on throttle, clearly louder than standard. Drone is the thing to weigh up - a straight-through core on a small four gets busy at highway revs, and a short cabin does not help.
Power gain from an axle-back alone is marginal, and we would rather say so. Buy it for the sound and the tips. Buy a cat-back if you want the pipework changed too.
