Generally speaking it is our preference to get one longer log as opposed to several smaller logs. Given the log files are quite small anyway, you can start the logging and drive for a while (ideally less than 30 minutes).
We usually only look at the "full throttle" sections of your logs, so there's no reason to do 4 different logs when you can achieve the same thing with a single larger long.
While logging, it would be ideal for us if you can perform longer pulls with your foot all the way to the floor. The ideal scenario is that you emulate something like a dyno pull, to achieve this, take the car down to ~1500rpm and rev the car out to redline - ideally in 4th gear*
When logging your car, please log the following parameters:
- RPM
- Vehicle speed
- Ignition Timing / Angle / Advance
- Knock cyl. 3 (only need one cylinder and cylinder 3 seems the most knock prone)
- Throttle position
- Accelerator Position
- Fuel Rail pressure
- Boost Pressure
- Wastegate Target (This is only available for SIM2K models)
- Wastegate Actual (This may also be called WG Position, or Wastegate Duty)
- Air fuel ratio measured
*Please be mindful of your local road rules, Cherry Tuning does not condone breaking the law.
