These Pierberg valves are a tested and proven 3-port boost control solnoid, used widely in european cars. The model we sell is the newest and most recently updated version of this valve, offering cleaner and more reliable boost than even the earlier models with the square plug.

The solenoids are supplied with a patch loom, so they're a plug and play direct replacement for the factory electronic boost control solenoid (EBCS) for the 1.6 T-GDi and others.

Note: If you have a Cerato GT or JS Veloster Turbo, your turbocharger is electronically actuated and you don't have a solenoid to replace!

Why do you need a EBCS upgrade?

  • Better, cleaner and more responsive boost
  • An increase in horsepower in the upper RPM band
  • Not as susceptible to overheating as stock or MAC valves

All orders are packaged at our Hornsby workshop. In general, handling times are between 24-48 hours.

We primarily send orders via Australia Post. For heavier/bulkier items that cannot be sent with Australia Post, we use a courier service.

Typically shipping ETAs can be anywhere from 2-5 days from the date of shipping.  The timings are dependant on where you live and the current COVID impacts.

Cherry Tuning and Performance does not generally offer refunds, with the exception of faulty or not fit-for-purpose products. All other returns will be subject to a 15% cancellation fee. If your item has not yet shipped and you have changed your mind, you will still be liable for a 10% cancellation fee to cover website fees, charges, and the time taken to process your refund. This fee can be reduced or waived at the discretion of Cherry Tuning management.

For a returned product to be eligible for a refund, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, new/unused, and in its original packaging

Advice taken

Was booked in to have my Veloster tuned by Tristan and requested to have a MAC solenoid fitted I purchased for under trade price thru a mate. End of the day. Tristan convinced me to not use it and go with the piersburg. So I did. Impressed with the torque and power Tristan gained with my tune. Knowing he had more knowledge than I when it comes to tuning these gamma 1.6L/T, I am glad I took his advice and made the right choice. Looking forward to more upgrades to my car and it tune in the coming years.

I was wrong

So further to my last post i had a boost leak wich was causing over boost took me a while to find it was not the solenoid so apologies for the tainted reveiw as i was wrong solenoid works great now leak is fixed great product well worth the money apologies cherry tuning
