Even nominally identical engines often perform slightly differently. This can be down to manufacturing tolerances, the number of kilometres covered or the quality of the fuel. So that your RaceChip works perfectly with the engine in your car, they have developed fine tuning mappings. This means that you can fine tune your GTS to match your engine's performance and characteristics perfectly. The app control feature lets you download the pre-programmed settings right from the RaceChip servers.

The Race Chip app lets you set up your car as you want; just select the tuning stage from your smartphone. The app can also deactivate the RaceChip, returning the car to stock tune.

Note: you must run your car on 98 RON fuel to use this chip

All orders are packaged at our Hornsby workshop. In general, handling times are between 24-48 hours.

We primarily send orders via Australia Post. For heavier/bulkier items that cannot be sent with Australia Post, we use a courier service.

Typically shipping ETAs can be anywhere from 2-5 days from the date of shipping. The timings are dependant on where you live and the current COVID impacts.

Cherry Tuning and Performance does not generally offer refunds, with the exception of faulty or not fit-for-purpose products. All other returns will be subject to a 15% cancellation fee. If your item has not yet shipped and you have changed your mind, you will still be liable for a 10% cancellation fee to cover website fees, charges, and the time taken to process your refund. This fee can be reduced or waived at the discretion of Cherry Tuning management.

For a returned product to be eligible for a refund, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, new/unused, and in its original packaging

Fantastic!

I love it! I had this installed in the picanto GT and it has significantly improved performance and efficiency. I recommend also switching to performance spark plugs as a minimum to get the full race mode output. Overall, a great little product, easy to use with some big gains.

A must have

If you're into making your fast GT faster, you can't go wrong with this upgrade. I do recommend a few pre mods before going ahead with this one. Bigger Intercooler, GFB bov, performance intake, intake big mouth, mid pipe cat and res delete, upgraded ignition coils, cooler plugs, intercooler res delete, engine pitch mount upgrade and a good quality catch can, or though this is optional. Yeah costs a penny, but it's definitely better then possibly over stressing your engine with stock components while using this. In return you will get the full benefit therefore the engine and turbo can handle all the power efficiently from this GTS performance chip.
You get about an additional 40kw which should put you in the hothatch territory. A very neat sleeper if you ask me ;)
From personal experience, with all the above upgrades you can hit 0 to 100 in high 5's to low 6's . Depending on weather conditions and temperature. It's definitely a sub 6 second car on a dry day and temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius.
For bolt on upgrades you can do from home with less then $5k AUD, shaving off over a second in performance times, it's definitely worth it 👌

100% recommend

It pulls significantly harder in the mid range, if you are disappointed by the power in standard form this mod is a no brainer, very easy install and removal for services at the dealer. I was sceptical but after 2 days of driving normally and letting it adjust I took it for a run up a tight twistie road through the rainforest and the i20n is now properly fast and not for inexperienced drivers so take care. The only downside to the gts on map 7 is it exacerbates the rev hang, at first it’s annoying but you will adjust your style, the Rev hang is very consistent so you won’t get caught off guard once you are use to it. It would be just as fast as an i30n now but 300kg lighter.

Nice little upgrade

Upgraded from the RS chip to this one and the installation was easy and straightforward. It will still be a few more days for the vehicle to fully adapt to the new upgrade. I have noticed that the acceleration is not as explosive as when the RS chip was installed, but this may come as the vehicle adapts to the new chip. One point to note: if you get the app option, make sure you get the pairing code prior to installing. There are no instructions that come with the unit. You will probably have to contact Cherry Tuning for instructions on how to get the pairing code. In conclusion I’m pleased with the upgrade even if it will be a few more days for the chip to reach its full potential. This is ideal for those who are after a first step upgrade in performance but don’t want to go all out and spend big bucks.
