This kit comes with everything you need to be able to read and write tune files to your 8-speed DCT in your i30N, Elantra N, Kona N, or Veloster N.
This price is only for the hardware and software required to grant you access to the TCU code - there is no tuning included in this price. We will provide a user manual giving a pin-out of the TCU, the TCU connector location, and a basic instruction set for how to use the tuning software, however a solid technical understanding and computer skills are highly recommended if attempting to perform this on your own vehicle.
Please note, reading and writing to your TCU requires "benching" the TCU. This means you will need to plug small electrical connectors to the individual pins on your TCU's main connector, which is located on the front of your transmission.
If you're uncomfortable with working with electronics, and/or you're not particularly computer savvy, this option may not be the best for you. As with all tuning related tools, you risk causing serious damage to your car if any of the flashing process is performed incorrectly, this may lead to costly repairs which you're unlikely to be able to claim under warranty.
