Product details
Cold air intake for the pre-facelift MD Elantra 1.8, routing down past the guard to draw cooler air, with Injen's MR Tech bend and a nano-fibre web filter. Black or polished aluminium tube.
The 1.8 Nu is a modest engine and the gains match: a few kilowatts at the top and a fuller induction note, not a seat-of-the-pants change. What it does do well is clear the restriction the factory airbox creates above 5000rpm.
The low filter position is the trade. It draws cold air, but it is exposed. Not the part for a car that sees flooded roads.
