An increasingly common upgrade for the pre-facelift i30N models is to bolt on the facelift car's turbocharger. With only minor modifications required to the intercooler hot-pipe (the compressor outlet is 23mm longer), the facelift i30N turbocharger is drastically bigger than the early model cars, boasting an 11% bigger compressor and a 31% bigger turbine, potential power output from this turbo takes the i30N from a peak of around 200-210kW at the wheels up to 250-260kW (with supporting mods).
